Disclosure

Relationship-based links

When HVAC Ethos has a paid, sponsored, or referral relationship with a business we link to, the page carries a visible disclosure note and the outbound link uses rel="sponsored" (and, by default, rel="nofollow" as well).

Editorial mentions

Editorial mentions of businesses we have no relationship with may use normal followed links. These mentions are based on independent editorial judgment.

Affiliate links

If we ever introduce affiliate links to products, they will be labeled inline and tagged with the appropriate attributes.

What we do not do

We do not accept payment to fabricate positive coverage, suppress criticism, or include a contractor on our vetted list. A business that fails our vetting standards is not listed, regardless of any commercial relationship.
