Educational primacy

HVAC Ethos is an educational publication first. Articles are written to teach a homeowner enough to make a better decision, even when "better" means choosing not to spend money.

Authorship

Every article carries a named author and a visible "last reviewed" date. We do not publish anonymous or pseudonymous editorial.

Sources and review

Technical claims are cross-checked against manufacturer documentation, U.S. Department of Energy materials, and the working experience of our editorial team. Articles are reviewed annually at minimum.

Mentions of businesses

Mentions are earned against our public vetting standards. Paid or referral relationships are disclosed and never determine editorial coverage.

Corrections

If you find an error, write to us. We update the article and note the change in the "last reviewed" date.
